Jake Matthews

Jake Matthews supports the design of the Digital Transformation Center’s digital tool portfolio, helping to advance digital transformation initiatives for the United States Air Force. A technical executive and entrepreneur with over 15 years of leadership experience, Jake specializes in complex system development for advanced energy and space technologies. Previously, as the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Zeno Power Systems, he led the development of a first-of-its-kind radioisotope power system, advancing the technology from concept to a validated nuclear prototype demonstrated at a U.S. national laboratory.
Before founding Zeno, Jake served for five years as an officer in the U.S. Army, holding leadership roles in operations and deployed advisory missions. He holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Point.
